The longtime co-host ofThe View, 67, toldThe Sunday Timesthis weekend that she doesn’t understand why her Januaryremarks that the Holocaust was not “about race"caused such an uproar, even insisting that Jewish people are also split over whether they’re considered a race or a religion.
“My best friend said, ‘Not for nothing is there no box on the census for the Jewish race. So that leads me to believe that we’re probably not a race,'” she said.

“I always wanted my face on cheese," co-hostSara Hainessaid.
“I like to be eaten from time to time,” Goldberg quipped, leading Haines to slowly turn around and playfully walk off stage at the NSFW joke.
The studio audience laughed and applauded as Haines stepped back into frame laughing and wrapping her arms around Goldberg.
“Never mind,” Goldberg declared, playfully putting on a confused face.
