A Georgia woman serving a life sentence for fatally stabbing her wife in 2018 has now been convicted of killing her ex-girlfriend in 2011, a case that went cold for seven years, according to authorities.
Joyce Marie Pelzer, 47, was found guilty on Friday in the kidnapping and murder of Shawndell McLeod, 35, on September 25, 2011, shortly after the victim left an alleged abusive relationship with Pelzer, the Dekalb County District Attorney’s office said in astatement.

The death of a 21-year-old woman found on a New York expressway earlier this month is believed to be accidental, according to police.
The Cheektowaga Police Department saidin an initial release on Facebookthat authorities received calls on Feb. 8 just before 6:30 p.m. for an ejection from a motor vehicle on the Westbound Kensington Expressway between Cayuga and Union Road.
The 21-year-old woman, who has not been identified at this time, was found on the roadway and pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

A mysterious illness led to the collapse of a 29-year-old woman in Australia, prompting an urgent rush to the ICU where she later died.
During her time at the hospital in Sydney, doctors diagnosed Timbery with a Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) infection. TheCenters for Disease Controlwebsite explains that MRSA is a type of bacteria resistant to several antibiotics and is often transmitted through sharing personal items that have come into contact with infected skin, such as towels and razors.
