A 3-year-old boy was killed Sunday afterrunning into trafficin Florida, while his mother, who was also hit, was seriously injured trying to save him.
Police said three people — including the 31-year-old mom and her 3-year-old son — had exited a vehicle “parked southbound in the center lane” of Dairy Road in Melbourne shortly before the toddler ran into traffic.
Both the child and his mom sustained “serious” injuries as a result of the collision, the MPD said.

In the clip, Tara asks Witley, who is standing in the kitchen next to his toys, to fetch his blankie. Instead of getting it, he bursts into song. “I said a boom chicka boom,” the toddler sings, raising his arms up and down. “Boom chicka boom,” Tara sings back.
As Witley, who sports a white T-shirt and glassses, continues to sing the rest of the song, Tara joins in. At the end, where the song usually repeats, Witley shakes it off and says, “No more times.
