A crash involving a car and Greyhound bus in Alabama on Monday left one person dead and several others injured, authorities said.
The crash, which occurred near Ardmore, Alabama, took place at about 10:13 p.m. local time, the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA) said in a statement to PEOPLE.
The bus was traveling from Tallahassee, Florida to Nashville, Tennessee.

After the vehicles collided, the bus veered off of the road and overturned, according to the ALEA.
“Greyhound continues to work closely with the relevant authorities on site to determine the exact circumstances of this accident,” the company added.
