Multiple agencies have joined in the search for Rouns and crews are working “to rule out areas of high probability.”
On Monday, Oct. 7, Dutton said in astatementthat crews were concentrating their search “on a section of the Missouri River.”
“Please stay clear of the search area, this includes the water search area. If people try to get there, they will endanger our SCUBA divers,” officials said in a statement. “Please do not interfere with the search.”
Crews are using canines, helicopters and drones to help with search efforts.
The Lewis & Clark County Sheriff’s Office did not immediately respond to PEOPLE’s request for additional comment.
