The90 Day Fiancé: The Other Wayalum announced his engagement to Maria Ramirez on Friday morning — and it was a surprise that kept giving as PEOPLE learned Rishi and Maria are already in the midst of their three-day wedding extravaganza!

In his Instagram Story, Rishi shared a video of himself popping the question to Maria on a stage. “I’m very bad to express my feelings,” he began. “But I just want to lose myself in front of you. I want to lose my everything in front of you. With my both knees, because when you respect, you respect fully — will you be mine? Will you marry me?”

Maria responded first in jest saying “try again.” As the crowd — and Rishi — laughed, she accepted the proposal. “Babe, I love you. Of course,” Maria said. A follow up video showed the couple dancing on the stage together in celebration.

The wedding festivities began soon after, with the couple transitioning from engagement to formal celebrations.

Starting Thursday, Maria shared a series of Instagram Story posts showing multiple celebration venues. “Bling it on,” she captioned one of the extravagant locations, which featured neon lights in blue and gold, and a sign that read “Better Together.”

Throughout the celebrations, Rishi and Maria had a series of outfit changes, too. Her blue engagement apparel was replaced with red — India’s traditional wedding color — with intricate mehndi adorning her hands. While participating in the traditional mehndi ceremony, both Rishi and Maria wore light green formal wear.

Maria’s posts also included a joyous “couple’s entry” dance to one of the locations, as well as a photo of herself and Rishi in the middle of their Haldi ceremony. Showing off her completed mehndi, Maria flashed her engagement ring and two additional bands on her wedding finger.

It seemed the formal wedding ceremony was on the horizon Friday morning as Maria shared a video of herself getting ready — all dressed in red and orange — for the ceremony. “Oh my God, getting ready! Ah!” she told her Instagram followers. Maria’s makeup and jewelry matched the bold color tones, and included floral detailing.

Rishi’s wedding and fiancée reveal comes less than two weeks after he teased his new relationship to social media followers on Instagram. “Take my hand, take my whole life too. For I can’t help falling in love with you,” he captioned a photo of himself and Maria, whose face was hidden. “Love you can’t hide…love is beyond the imagination 💖 Unconventional love 💖… unimaginable love 💕 Love for forever 💞”

Rishi was previously engaged toJen Boecher, an American woman who moved to India temporarily to pursue their love story. As Rishikept his romance with Jen a secret from his family, the parents continued topush for an arranged marriagefor him. In November, Jen and Rishiofficially called it quits.

In anInstagram Livevideo following Rishi’s statement, Jen claimed it was not a mutual split. Her side of the story maintains she decided to end their engagement when she no longer felt passionately in love with her ex.
