Maluma’s life changed when he learned his daughter, Paris, was on the way.

The “Hawái” singer, whose real name is Juan Luis Londoño Arias, and his girlfriend Susana Gómez welcomed their first child together in March 2024.

Maluma toldAllurethat “everything changed” after welcoming his daughter and he was enjoying parenthood.

Maluma and Gómez welcomed their daughter, Paris Londoño Gómez, on March 9, 2024.

The singer shared that he wasexpecting his first childduring a concert in October 2023, when he debuted themusic video for his song“Procura.”

It featured home footage of Maluma and Gómez taking trips together, clips of them going to the doctor’s office for an ultrasound and snippets of them telling their families the news.

Once the world knew, Maluma wasn’t shy about sharing glimpses of his personal life with Gómez on their journey to become parents.

As Gómez neared her due date, she and Maluma continued enjoying the pregnancy with abeach vacation.

Her name has special meaning to her parents

WhileParis Hiltonmay have welcomed Maluma’s daughter tothe Paris club, her name has sentimental meaning for her dad and mom.

A month prior to her birth, Maluma toldEntertainment Tonightthe real reason they chose the moniker. “We made her in Paris,” he said in February 2024.

“We started doing the list, and I was like, ‘Yo babe, remember when we actually made Paris?’ and she goes, ‘Of course, that was in Paris,’ “ Maluma added. “And I was like, ‘Of course she has to be named Paris.' "

She was his “biggest dream ever”

Even before Paris was born, Maluma was singing his daughter’s praises.

During an October 2023 interview with NPR’s podcastAlt.Latino, he spoke to the outlet about his impending fatherhood, calling it “such a big dream” for him.

“I always dreamed about this. It’s perfect timing,” Maluma said. “I love my music … but I also want to keep growing as a human being, not only as an artist.”

The “El Perdedor” vocalist said that his daughter gave him “many reasons to keep dreaming” and was “everything” to him.

Maluma described his imminent fatherhood as “a beautiful journey,” noting that he was “here to learn.” The singer added, “I think the kids come to this world to teach us a bunch of things … I know Paris is my teacher.”

He later elaborated, “I feel like everything around my life is working in a very positive way. … Nothing bothers me anymore. There is nothing bigger than Paris. If there is any problem in my life, I just think about Paris, and it’s done.”

Paris inspired her dad to go after his goals

Maluma had his daughter in mind when thinking about his career well before she was born.

The singer spoke toForbesin December 2023, opening up about how becoming a father change the way he approached his music.

“Now I’m ready. Now I want to work double or triple to become that guy that I’m dreaming about and that I’ve been dreaming about for so many years,” he added. “Now I understand this is the right time. I feel like Paris came to my life to give me the strength that I needed to get up from my bed, go to the studio and be even more disciplined.”

Maluma said that his purpose in life “is different right now,” sharing that he wanted “a brighter world” for his daughter in the future, which began to inspire his music.

“So every time she’s going to listen to my songs, I want her to feel happy and to feel that it’s a positive world out here,” he continued.

When speaking withAlt.Latinoin October 2023, the Colombian native also opened up about how he planned on balancing his career and parenthood.

“I’m learning. What I have in my mind is I don’t want to get apart from her,” he said. “I don’t want to separate. I want her to live everything next to me. I want to see her with me touring, I want to see her with me in the hotel. I want her to live everything.”

She’s traveled with her parents

Since she was born, Paris has traveled the world with her dad and mom.

In May 2024, Malumaposted several photoson Instagram from a beach vacation with Gómez and Paris in Turks and Caicos. At the time, he said he was “ready to recharge” ahead of festival performances in Montreal and Chicago.

Paris got to visit her namesake city in June 2024, which includeda photoshootwith her parents at the Eiffel Tower as the scenic backdrop.

The trip also includeda visit to Disneyland Pariswith the family of threeposing for photosin front of the castle. In the caption, Maluma added, “We took our princess to see her castle 🏰👸🏼 (So far no princes 😂).”

They also made their way over to Sardinia, Italy, in July 2024, with thetrio dressed to the nines. Maluma also shared a sweet sentiment in the caption, writing, “Everything is better with a family.”
