Amy Robach Says Raw Podcast Episode Led to Growth in Relationship with T.J. Holmes: 'Saw Us in a Different Way'

In the latest episode of theirAmy and T.J. Podcastreleased Tuesday, Robach, 51, addressed the moment they had a dispute over theirrelationship issuesin a January installment of the show — and how she and Holmes, 46, had since gone through a “beautiful stretch” in their relationship.

“Once we had our fight, non-fight, whatever it was, and we had to listen to that thing five times, get it up, see and hear the reaction to it … I really felt like I had a shift,” Robach said. “I saw myself in a different way. I saw you in a different way. I saw us in a different way and I felt intentional in a way I hadn’t before.”

Robach attributed the shift to “the goal setting” she and Holmes did together after their raw podcast episode, along with her own measurement of “how I wanted to react to you, react to my own emotions, check my ego, all of those things.”

“And I really, we’ve had a really beautiful stretch,” she added.

“It’s good to recognize the good times,” Robach continued. “We all point out the bad times, but when you could say, ‘Hey, we’re doing great.’ It’s good to be able to say that to someone.”

In January, Robach and Holmes got into a heated discussion over their communication issues on their podcast as they aired out their frustrations with each other. Speaking on Tuesday, Robach and Holmes also shared how they recently celebrated Robach’s 51st birthday together in New York City and New Orleans.
