In a previouspress release, the BCSO said Kotowski departed without his cell phone or wallet.
The victim’s wife, Jackie Kotowski, previously toldABC affiliate WJCLthat her husband “just walked out the door” and never returned.
“His anxiety just kept getting worse and worse and worse, and he started to get a little paranoid,” Jackie explained at the time. She said her husband experienced “really bad insomnia for about a month” before his disappearance, but said he did not have dementia.
A BCSO report states Jackie told deputies that her husband was worried that the resort had “set up” a conspiracy, and believed people there were out to get him, according toWJCL.
Jackie also allegedly said her husband mentioned people were “watching him” several times, and even told her, “Promise me you will go on without me.”
