Baby Capybara Who Went Viral for Dancing Like Michael Jackson Officially Named by Zoo Home

This talented capybara knew fame before she even knew her own name.

A capybara who moved into theZoological Wildlife Foundation in Miami(ZWF Miami) on Dec. 24 quickly became a favorite at the Florida zoo after the facility posted a video of the large rodent dancingon Instagram.

“Our natural born entertainer giving her best#thrillerdance impression on a morning dip@zwfmiami,” ZWF Miami captioned in the video, which has received over 140 million views and 9 million likes on Instagram.

The zoo also used the viral post to ask their over 1 million followers for name ideas for the capybara. After giving animal lovers several days to send suggestions, ZWF Miami announced on Tuesday that the zoo decided on the name Eve.

A fan suggested the name,according to a follow-up Instagram postfrom ZWF Miami, because that capybara arrived at the zoo on Christmas Eve.

ZWF Miami’s founders look forward to caring for Eve and watching her bring joy to zoo guests for years to come.
