A bag containing information about the upcoming Paris Olympics has been misplaced or potentially stolen, according to multiple reports.
According to the French outlet, the 56-year-old unnamed engineer told police the bag contained his professional computer and two USB drives with “sensitive” data, potentially including a security plan for the upcoming Olympics, beginning on July 26.
Transport police began an investigation into the incident on Monday, according to ESPN.

Representatives for Paris 2024 did not immediately respond to PEOPLE’s request for comment.

City Hall said the bag “contained notes for internal use, relating to his work in the IT department of the Highways and Transport Directorate,” in the statement on Wednesday.
“All the necessary resets were carried out in order to cut off all access to the City’s IT system,” the statement from City Hall concluded.
