Ben Affleck Dyes His Beard Dark, Ditches the Gray amid Jennifer Lopez Divorce

Ben Affleckis changing up his appearance amid his divorce fromJennifer Lopez.
On Friday, Oct. 4, the 52-year-old actor was spotted arriving at his office in Los Angeles with a different look. His usual salt-and-pepper beard was dyed a dark brown color.
It’s not clear if the transformation is for a role or if the star is simply trying out a new style in the wake of his separation from Lopez, 55.
Affleck also wore a dark suit and aviator sunglasses and carried a black leather bag. Of course, the actor was also toting his usual iced coffee for some morning fuel.

Lopezfiled for divorcefrom Affleck on Aug. 20, which marked the second anniversary of the pair’straditional wedding ceremony in Georgia. They were initiallymarried in Las Vegason July 17. The couple wasfirst engaged in the early 2000sbefore reconciling in 2021.

In September, a source close to theMarry Meactress told PEOPLE that she and Affleck “are stillmoving forward with the divorce” as they “continue to focus on the kids.”

“They want to show the kids that things are amicable,” the source continued, adding, “They want to stay friendly. There’s still a lot of love.”
Kevin Smith, a longtime friend and collaborator of Affleck, told PEOPLE that Affleck is “one of my favorite people on the planet,” and Lopez is “wonderful too.”

In September, the star attended theToronto Film Festival premiere of her movieUnstoppable, where she wowed in asexy floor-length silver Tamara Ralph dresswith high splits up both sides. The biopic, which tells the real-life story of wrestlerAnthony Robles, was co-produced with Affleck under his andMatt Damon’s production company Artists Equity. Affleck did not appear at the festival.
She told PEOPLE at the time that she “felt good,” in the ultra skin-baring gown.
“There was a discussion about whether I should or shouldn’t. And I was like, f— it,” she laughed of the design.
