The nine-time Grammy Award winner, 22, appeared as the musical guest during the long-running sketch comedy show’s Oct. 19 episode alongside hostMichael Keaton.

For her performances of “Birds of a Feather” and “Wildflower” — both tracks from her 2024 albumHit Me Hard and Soft— the singer had a special guest joining her on stage: her brother,Finneas.

Her first song on the show, “Birds of a Feather,” saw Eilish and Finneas, 27, performing within a box structure that had floor-to-ceiling projections of a blue sky with clouds. The singer sported in baggy jeans, a letterman jacket and a backwards baseball cap while her brother opted for a white polo shirt with blue detailing and gray pants as he played guitar alongside her.

Keaton introduced both performances, and for the second, “Wildflower,” Finneas once again appeared alongside his sister, this time on an all-blue set. Eilish had switched up her look, wearing a baggy sweater and oversized shorts, while her brother wore a darker t-shirt and dark pants.

Eilish, who is currently in the middle of herHit Me Hard and Soft tour, last appeared onSNLback in December for the show’s final episode of 2023.

The “Birds of a Feather” singer and her family recently opened up toVogueabout Eilish’s latest tour, which marks her first on her own. While her brother and frequent collaborator Finneas will show up for a few dates here and there, he is busy promoting and touring for his newest solo album,For Cryin' Out Loud!, which released on Oct. 4.Her parents also will not be joining her at every show as usual this time around.

Eilish’s mother,Maggie Baird, likened the solo touring to her daughter having her “college year.”

“It’s sort of our ‘going off to college year,’ I guess,” Baird toldVogue.

Finneas added: “You want your family to come visit often. You don’t want your family to, like, be the dean of the college, or in your dorm room."

The two musical siblings spoke about their new dynamic — with Finneas taking time out to focus on his own music, and Eilish hitting the road without him — during a candid conversation onSpotify’s vodcastCountdown Toearlier this month. As the duo sat and talked in a park, Eilish told her brother that it’s “sad and hard” not to have him along for her tour but also a relief, as she always found herself worrying about him.

“I feel like I spend all of my time on tour and in rehearsals like, ‘Oh my God, Finneas wants to leave’ or ‘Finneas is unhappy.’ I just look up to you so much and want you to have the best time,” Eilish told the “Cleats” singer.
