In a post onReddit’s “Wedding Drama” forum, the 24-year-old bride explained that during a dance at their reception, her husband, 23, and his friends took off their pants in front of everyone.

The couple got married a few weeks ago and had invited about nine of the groom’s fraternity friends, all of whom are around the same age as them. Although the bride understands that they are all on the “younger end,” she felt their behavior on the dance floor was childish and inappropriate.

The groom was a “frat bro” in college and “still displays some of their tendencies” — and he made no exception at their wedding.

“Well, some song came on and apparently it was tradition for that frat that when this song comes on you drop your pants and dance in a circle,” the bride wrote. “Not only did all his friends do it, but my husband did as well. I was shocked. Some male friends/relatives joined in.”

Although guests found the dance to be funny, the bride was “upset.” She explained that she had worked “so hard” to plan their wedding for more than a year, and for it to culminate with “a bunch of guys in their boxers” was disappointing and not tasteful.

“Before you say it was quick, this was toward the end of the night when everyone was kinda drunk and most of the guys (thankfully not my husband) ended up keeping their pants off the rest of the night,” she continued. “And to add insult to injury, these pictures are the ones they’re all posting on social media.”

Other Redditors sympathized with the bride, pointing out that it probably wouldn’t have been OK with everyone if she and her friends had done the same thing.

“It’s such a double standard too. Can you imagine his reaction if she was like, ‘I know it’s our wedding, but my sorority sisters always have to traditionally dance in our panties to this song!’ " one person commented.

They continued: “Of course, that wouldn’t happen because there’s also the double standard where sororities are expected to be classy and fraternities crazy, but that’s not the point, even if it was a thing he would probably have had a problem with her stripping off in front of guests.”
