Brittany Mahomes Has a Surprising Ice Cream Order: 'Ain't Nothing Like' It

Brittany Mahomesis giving fans the scoop on her ice cream order!

“Ain’t nothing like some mint chocolate chip ice cream with hard chocolate on the top 😂😂,” she wrote over a photo of the green-and-brown serving.

The “hard chocolate” she references is also known as a chocolate shell. The secret ingredient is coconut oil. Simply melt ⅔ cup coconut oil along with 2 cups semisweet chocolate chips. Once the warm topping hits the cold ice cream it hardens up, resulting in a satisfying crunch.

Brittany andPatrickhave been known to declare their love of frozen desserts on social media.

Back in March, Brittany shared an Instagram Stories snap featuring her husband sitting on the couch, as she held a chocolate-dipped mini ice cream cone in front of her phone camera. “Anyone else eat 10 of these a night?,” she captionedthe image, before drawing an arrow next to the NFL player’s face. “Cause he does.”

The mini cones don’t appear to be the quarterback’s only sweet treat of choice. His teammateTravis Kelcerevealed on an episode of hisNew Heights with Jason and Travis Kelcepodcast that Patrick actually has afreezer full ofDippin' Dots as well. “I’ve seen them at Pat Mahomes’ garage,” Travis said. “He’s got a freezer of Dippin’ Dots."

In response, Travis' brother and now-retired NFL star Jason jokingly asked, “What is he Richie Rich? He’s just got random like – does he have a rollercoaster in his backyard, too?”

Patrick himself played along with the gag, sharing a message toX(formerly known as Twitter), reading: “Love some good ole @DippinDots 🤣🤣”

The Mahomes crew has had plenty of reason to bring out the ice cream this month, as the Kansas City Chiefs quarterback celebrated his 29th birthday on Tuesday, Sept. 17. Hespent the daywith his two kids,Patrick “Bronze” Lavon Mahomes III, who turns two in November, and daughterSterling Skye, 3.

Brittany uploaded a carousel post featuring a festive caption. “Happy Birthday to one of the greatest humans ever, my husband, best friend and the best daddy ever! We are so grateful you are ours! We Love Youuuuuu🤍”

She threw him a pre-birthday bash on Sept. 15 featuring large cookies, fun signage and personalized cups and koozies decorated with childhood photos of the quarterback. “We’re celebrating somebody’s birthday after the game,” Brittany said as she filmed some of the decor. “And I can’t get over how cute he is."
