Campbell ‘Pookie’ and Jett Puckett Reveal the Special Meaning Behind Their Baby Girl's Name: 'Greatest Gift of Our Lives' (Exclusive)

As Campbell skyrocketed to fame after her husband Jett called her “Pookie” in a TikTok video, it was only fitting that they pick aspecial name for their first child.

“We are overjoyed to announce the birth of our daughter Paloma Campbell Puckett,” Campbell and Jett tell PEOPLE in an exclusive statement. “Being her mom and dad is the greatest gift of our lives.”

“The name Paloma is Spanish and Italian. In both languages it means ‘dove,’ and Italy holds a special place in our hearts,” they reveal to PEOPLE about the meaning behind her name. “Her name is filled with so much beautiful symbolism: in Greek Mythology, doves are associated with the goddess of love Aphrodite and symbolize grace and serenity. In Christianity, doves are associated with the Holy Spirit and symbolize purity and faith.”

Her middle name also pays tribute to Campbell’s side of the family. “Her middle name, Campbell, is my mother’s maiden name and of course where I got my name. We wanted to keep the name in our family,” the couple continues.

“We’ve always dreamed of becoming parents. Jett and I have been together for nine years, married for six, and I’m most excited to see him become a dad — I’ve thought about that since I met him,” Campbell told PEOPLE.

“Our life has been building up to this moment, and we could not be more excited and blessed to bring another life into the world,” the couple says. “We’re ready for this next phase in our life and this new purpose as parents.”

Speaking to PEOPLE again about their pregnancy in September, Campbell teased that the couple already hasplans for a nickname.

“I don’t know what that is yet, but we’ve definitely thought about names,” Campbell said, admitting that she can be “very indecisive” at times. “I don’t even know if we’ll actually agree on a name that we’ll for sure say that’s the name until after birth.”
