Catfish Found Flopping Around Florida Driveway amid Flooding Caused by Tropical Storm Debby

Mar. 15, 2025

Heavy rain, gusty winds, and catfish? A Florida resident was in for a surprise during an intense storm.

In a video from Storyful, the man approaches a living catfish on his driveway while it is raining. A person moves to poke the fish gently, and it begins to flop away. The creature then shimmies around the wet pavement before “walking” to a deep puddle that leads towards grassy land.

“Not sure how it got here or where he’s trying to get to,” Bardach says in the clip.

As the catfish swims deeper into the flooded area, the man says, “Bye, catfish!”
