Emma Roberts Had Kim Kardashian’s Lip Gloss ‘All Over My Face’ AfterAHSKiss: ‘Had to Do a Major Cleanup’

KissingKim Kardashianwasn’t as glamorous as it sounded forEmma Roberts.

During an appearance onThe Tonight Showon Wednesday, the actress, 33, gaveJimmy Fallona look behind-the-scenes of the kiss she shared with Kardashian, 43, while filmingAmerican Horror Story.

The scene, which wasteased in the first trailer forAHS: Delicate Part 2,was not as “intense” to film as it looked, Roberts said. In fact, it involved a lot of “cleanup.”

“You know, we do it, you forget about it, and seeing it, it looked so intense. But meanwhile, we were laughing, because we kissed and they said ‘Cut’ and Kim looked at me and started laughing and I was like, ‘What?’ and I just had her [lip] gloss all over my face,” she told Fallon. “And so we had to do major cleanup in between every take.”

Roberts then shouted out Kardashian’s “perfect, glossed lips,” before noting that the gloss truly went “everywhere” while they filmed.

“My sister was like, ‘No it’s not. You kissed Kim Kardashian and didn’t tell me.’ ”

AHSmarks Kardashian’s biggest acting role to date and sees her star as Roberts’ character’s publicist, Siobhan, who will stop at nothing to push Anna (Roberts) to become a famous actress, regardless of her desire to become a mother. In the trailer forPart 2, Siobhan goes as far as to slap Anna across the face after she expresses doubt about her campaign for an Oscar. “I will not let you say another word about quitting,” she tells Anna.

SinceDelicatepremiered in September, both Kardashian and Roberts have gushed about their time working together. In January, the actress toldExtrathatthe SKIMS founder was a total “pro” on set.

“She’s one of the most prepared people I’ve ever worked with and she’s just chill. I love her so much,” Roberts said of Kardashian. “She’s amazing.”

Ahead of shooting, Kardashian admittedshe was taking action lessons to preparefor her role.

“It’s a challenge. I like to challenge myself,” she toldVarietyat the2023 Met Gala. “It’s really fun to step outside of your comfort zone and try something new and grow.”

The women also go way back, as Roberts revealed onLive with Kelly and Markon Monday.

“You know, it’s so funny. Kim and I both grew up in Calabasas, California, and when I was a teenager,I used to shop at her and [her] sisters’ store, Dash,” Roberts said, referring to the boutique Kim and her sistersKhloéandKourtneyfounded in 2006. “They were all working there at the time, before the show and I would shop there and chat with them. So when we were on the show [now], I’m like, wow from Calabasas to here.”
