Hairstylist Chris Appleton Dons Beetlejuice Halloween Costume as His Daughter, 19, Dresses as a Sexy Lydia Deetz

Hairstylist to the starsChris Appletonand his daughter went cult-classic for their Halloween costume this year!

For theAlice in Wonderland-inspired bash at Los Angeles’ Keys Nightclub, the pair specifically modeled their looks after one of the 1988 film’s iconic wedding scene.

Both sported red, with Chris in a maroon tux, bow tie and ruffled undershirt, and Kitty-blu in Deetz’ iconic tulle gown and veil. She accessorized with a black bridal bouquet, while her dad held one of the film’s most iconic props, theHandbook for the Recently Deceased.

The hairstylist nailed both Keaton’s full Beetlejuice glam — from his pale, moss-covered skin to his purple eye look — and hair, rocking some wispy, white tresses in a gravity-defying style.

Meanwhile, his daughter — whom he shares with his former partner Katie Katon — wore a more basic glam, letting Deetz’ iconic spiky bangs steal the show.

Later in the evening, Kitty-blu ditched the screen-accurate dress for a more revealing take on Deetz’s wedding outfit.

Photos from the Earle’s party show the 19-year-old still rocking the character’s veil, ruffled top and gloves, but this time without the long, tiered skirt. Instead, she swapped it for a lingerie-inspired look, which she paired with red fishnet tights and matching, over-the-knee boots.

Chris shared some photos of the father-daughter duo’sBeetlejuicelook — before Kitty-blu swapped her get-up for the sexier version — on Instagram, showcasing the intricate ensembles from several angles.

Also in the post, the hairstylist included a photo of himself posing with his son, Billy Appleton, who rocked similar makeup as Joker.

“Beetlejuice Beetlejuice …. It’s show time, I’ve wanted to do this one for so long,” Chris wrote in the caption. “Thank you to Kitty for being Lydia - we had the best night. I love Halloween 👻.”

Chris shares both Billy and Kitty-blu with ex Katon, whom he welcomed before he came out as gay at 26. Speaking withGay Timesin 2019, the hairstylist said, “Some people know straight away, I didn’t and it took me a minute to understand that and accept that and then come out.”

“It was also really important to me that the kids were comfortable before I expressed that. That they understood and were in a good place,” he continued. “It was just time. Everybody has their story and mine was later on.”
