TheTodayshow brewed up a big surprise for viewers thisHalloween.

Celebrating the spooky season holiday on Thursday, Oct. 31, the NBC morning show hosts once again dressed in a epic group costume, celebrating their favorite movie characters with a trip back to Blockbuster to rent the must-see ’80s, ’90s and early ’00s movies.

Savannah Guthrie,Hoda Kotb,Craig Melvin,Al Roker,Carson Daly,Sheinelle Jones,Dylan Dreyer,Jenna Bush Hager,Willie Geist,Laura JarrettandPeter Alexanderall participated in the tradition this year, dressing as stars fromAustin Powers,Anchorman,Beetlejuice,Beverly Hills Cop,Mrs. Doubtfireand more.

There were surprises along the way, too, like whenLuke Wilsonreprised his role fromLegally Blondefor a sweet tribute alongside Guthrie’s Elle Woods.

And Kotb,in her lastTodayHalloween, told herToday with Hoda and Jennaco-host that she’d “never let go” as Jack and Rose fromTitanic.

“We have spent the last 365 days dreaming up our biggest reveal ever,” Melvin teased earlier in the show on Thursday.

This year marks the 30th anniversary ofToday’s Halloween festivities. The highly anticipated event started back in 1994 after the opening of NBC’s Studio 1A and the iconic outdoor Plaza, Fresh, fun and fabulous looks have come over the years, with fans eagerly awaiting the reveal of the anchor’s secretive costumes.
