Inside Lana Del Rey and Jeremy Dufrene's 'Relaxed, Family-Focused' Wedding on the Bayou (Exclusive Source)

WhenLana Del Reytied the knotwith alligator tour guide Jeremy Dufrene, the couple chose to host their nuptials in a setting close to their hearts.

“The wedding ceremony and reception were both held in the same bayou where Jeremy operates his swamp boats tours,” a source tells PEOPLE of the couple’s Sept. 26 celebration in Des Allemandes, La.

The source adds: “This is where they first met. It’s a special place for them. It was a beautiful, relaxed and family focused wedding. The focus was just on their love story.”

Representatives for Del Rey did not immediately respond to PEOPLE’s request for comment.

The “Summertime Sadness” singer has known Dufrene since at least 2019, when she shared photos with him  onFacebookafter she took one of his wildlife tours.

“Jeremy lemme be captain at Arthur’s Air Boat Tours,” she captioned a set of images on Facebook.

The source also told PEOPLE Del Rey and Dufrene “initially met a few years ago the first time and then reconnected earlier this year.”

The source adds: “It’s been kind of a whirlwind romance, but Lana’s close friends hoped she would get married. Jeremy is different from the men that Lana meets in the entertainment world. He’s a great guy. He’s charming and charismatic in a Southern way, very much a gentleman and he treats Lana really well. She’s an old soul.”

In May, Del Ray tagged Dufrene in anInstagrampost, seemingly referring to him as her “guy.”

She captioned the photo, which featured the singer and hertwo siblings, “Family w my guy @jeremy.dufrene @codyjay.”

In August 2024, a TikTok user shared a brief video of the singer walking hand-in-hand with a Dufrene at the Leeds Festival in England, where Del Rey was performing.
