Ivanka Trump Quotes Dolly Parton, Henry Thoreau and Carl Jung on Election Eve After Sitting Out Her Father’s Campaign

Ivanka Trumpis skipping the campaign trail on the eve of the 2024 presidential election.

Instead of joining her fatherDonald Trumpin Pittsburgh and Grand Rapids, Mich., for his final rallies ahead of Election Day, the daughter of the former president, 78, and the lateIvana Trump, spent election eve reflecting on life.

In anInstagram carousel, Ivanka, who served as an advisor to her father during his time in office, wrote that she “turned 43 … this past week.”

Her lengthy post contained over a dozen quotes “on life’s lessons,” as well as “some truths I’ve learned along the way.”

“Approach life with love and positivity.Dolly Partonsaid, ‘I don’t criticize and condemn; I love and accept,’ ” Ivanka wrote as her 14th life lesson.

She also quoted American naturalist and essayist Henry David Thoreau while urging herself and others to spend their time and energy on things that matter, before moving on to Carl Jung.

“Thinking is difficult; that’s why most people judge,” is the quote she borrowed from the Swiss psychiatrist and psychotherapist before adding her own message: “What you judge, you cannot understand. Instead, observe, study, and learn.”

Ivanka took a step back from campaigning for her father this year, though she didattend the final dayof the2024 Republican National Conventionon July 18.

“She is very happy, living her best life,” a source in her social circletold PEOPLE in March. “She left politics totally in the rearview mirror and so this time around, even if her dad is the leading Republican candidate, she basically doesn’t care. She told him when he said he was going to run again that she didn’t want to be involved.”

Ivanka said she would beremoving herself from the political worldin November 2022, when Trump announced his plans to run for president in 2024.

“I love my father very much,” she said in a statement at the time. “This time around, I am choosing to prioritize my young children and the private life we are creating as a family.”

She continued: “I do not plan to be involved in politics. While I will always love and support my father, going forward I will do so outside the political arena.”

Ivanka shares daughter Arabella Rose Kushner, 13, and sons Joseph Frederick Kushner, 10, and Theodore James Kushner, 8, with her husband,Jared Kushner.

In October,Ivanka was seen in Miami, taking Arabella toTaylor Swift’s Eras Tour stop at the Hard Rock Stadium.

The mother-daughter outing came weeks after the pop star, 34, announced she would beendorsingthe Democratic candidate, Vice PresidentKamala Harris. The revelation prompted Trump toissue a blunt statementto social media that read, “I HATE TAYLOR SWIFT!”
