A source exclusively tells PEOPLE that the new couple is not only “very affectionate,” but also “super, super happy together” as they always seem to be “looking out for each other.”

“They weren’t expecting for things to get serious so quickly but it’s only a good thing,” the insider continues. “Joe was pretty broken up when thedivorcehappened but he’s in a good place. With their differences he andSofía [Vergara] both knew it was time to move on.”

Another also denied previous reports that the duo were looking to get engaged soon and living together.

In September 2023, PEOPLE confirmed that Manganiello, 47, and O’Connor, 34, were casually dating after meeting for the first time in a “hot tub” at a small “unofficial” after party for HBO’sWinning Time.

Not long after, the pair — who have been quietly meeting up around L.A., according to the insider — were photographed leaving a Gold’s Gym together in Venice, California after a workout and driving away in his car, perPage Six.

Manganiello and O’Connor made theirred carpet debutin December 2023 at the Children of Armenia Fund (COAF) Gala at Cipriani in New York City and wentInstagram officialwith a post shared on Valentine’s Day.

Most recently, the couple was spotted cuddling up as they watched the Los Angeles Kings play the Vancouver Canucks at Crypto.com Arena earlier this month.
