Kelly Rowlandhas returned to the red carpet aftershe walked offtheTodayshow set last week.

On Tuesday night, theDestiny’s Childsinger, 43, attended the Chicago screening of her new Netflix filmMea Culpawearing an electric blue jumpsuit and matching faux fur jacket.

Rowland teamed her eye-catching attire with a pair of white statement earrings, wearing her bob cut in a sleek straight style. The musician posed with her co-star Trevante Rhodes at the star-studded event that was held at AMC River East Theater.

Rowland’s appearance came after a behind-the-scenes mishap led to her suddendeparture from theTodayshowon Thursday. Her exit resulted inRita Orastepping in to joinHoda Kotbas the fourth hour guest co-host at the last minute.

“Kelly walked out because she and her team didn’t like her dressing room,” a source told PEOPLE. “Rita Ora agreed to fill in at the last minute. Many people at the show, inside and outside of the show, were impressed with how great she was.”

Page Sixwas the first to report the news, noting that Rowland had been a guest on the morning show’s 8 a.m. hour and was then slated to fill in forJenna Bush Hageras guest co-host alongside Kotb.
