La La, 41, who shares Kiyan with her ex-husbandCarmelo Anthonyalso shared a cute message onInstagramto mark her son’s special day.
“Celebrating @kiyananthony all day!!! I figured today was a good day to let everybody know he really got his basketball skills from me (I’m playing 😂😂😂😂) HAPPY 17th BIRTHDAY KIYAN…I LOVE YOU 🎉🎂❤️❤️,” La La wrote in the caption.

La La’s birthday message comes after she spoke to PEOPLE aboutKiyan finding fameon social media after the teen garnered 782,000 Instagram followers.
“It makes me so proud,” she told PEOPLE last month. “Since I do know it, I’m able to kind of talk him through it, make sure he understands.”
“And he’s so calm and humble and just a really great kid,” she added of Kiyan’s fame.

“He’s got almost a million followers!” she said of his social media following. “He’s not addicted to posting or anything like that, but he loves to put up his highlights from games or his workout routines. It’s important, especially now that he’s starting to visit colleges. You want people to know what you’re doing.”
