Lil Nas Xmade a stylish appearance at Sunday’s New York City Half Marathon.
The rapper, 24, appeared to opt for fashion over function as he took part in the race wearing a pair of Coach high-top sneakers.
The label’s distressed high-top style isno longer available on Coach.com, but the style ison sale for $162.25 on Amazon.
Lil Nas X teamed the white high-tops with a pair of black shorts and aSt. Patrick’s Day-appropriate green T-shirt printed with the words, ‘NYC Half.’
The star could be seen smiling as he pounded the streets of the Big Apple in photos from the event, which started in Brooklyn and ended in Central Park.According to Page Six, the rapper tried to find a pair of running shoes before competing in the race, but the store was closed, leaving him to wear the trendy Coach style.

Amy Robach,T.J. HolmesandGinger Zeewere also among the famous faces joining the more than 25,000 runners during the 13.1-mile race.
Lil Nas X became abrand ambassadorfor Coach back in 2022.
At the time, the musician starred in a short film in collaboration with the fashion company and helped unveil their campaign,“Courage to Be Real.”

“My whole career has been about breaking down doors, and this campaign represents everything I’ve overcome so far,” he shared. “It’s about walking into new chapters of life, new experiences and new versions of myself, and it’s rooted in authenticity and self-expression — two things I really care about. It was really fun collaborating with Stuart [Vevers] and Petra to bring this to life.”
The announcement came after the “Panini” singer made hisNew York Fashion Weekrunway debut and walked for the brand during their Spring 2023 show.

“That was really cool,” hetold PEOPLEfollowing the show. “I felt a little out of place with all these models, but I was like, ‘Oh nah, I got this. I’m meant to be here.’ I looked a little angry in the face, but I was actually really happy!” he continued.
In December, Coach also announced a capsule collection with the star, with ‘The Lil Nas X Drop’ featuring shearling coats, biker jackets and colorful bags.
