Maggie Rogersis more than happy to lend her vocals to real-life love scenes.
In an interview withToday, the singer-songwriter discussed how “unbelievably special” it feels to know her music is often played at weddings.
“I think the coolest part about making music is getting to soundtrack these really special moments in people’s lives, and so especially a wedding, which is a ritual where people are going to remember that for the rest of their life,” Rogers, 30, said.
She added, “I mean, there’s nothing more special to that to me.”

Rogers is currently set to kick off part two of herDon’t Forget Me tourin Austin, Texas this October and will continue to places like Philadelphia, Boston, Toronto and New York City, among other major cities. The tour follows the release of the “Alaska” singer’s third full-length album — also titledDon’t Forget Me— this past April.
At the time of her record’s spring release, Rogers told PEOPLE about the 10-song collection, which she impressively compiled in the span of just five days.
“Those five days weren’t all in a row, but they were within the span of two weeks,” Rogers said in April. “I think that if I would tell myself a couple of years ago that I did this, I would be like, ‘Oh my God, are you good? Are you OK?’ But I was just so happy to get to go to work every day and do this thing that I love more than anything.”
Until her Don’t Forget Me tour resumes for a second installment this fall, Rogers has joined Coldplay as an opening act on theirMusic of the Spheres world tour.

During their concert at Vienna’s Ernst Happel Stadium on Wednesday, Rogersjoined the band on stage for a musical tributetoTaylor Swift, whohad to cancel her Aug. 8, 9 and 10 show datesamid afailed terror plot. Rogers and the Grammy-winning group paid tribute with a rendition of Swift’s 2008 hit “Love Story.”
Rogers shared a clip of the cover onInstagram, writing, “From Vienna with love 💗💗💗@coldplay@taylorswift.”
“We haven’t mentioned that Vienna was in the news all over the world for all the wrong reasons. But what reached us was the beauty and the togetherness, and kindness of all of Taylor Swift’s fans,” Martin, 47, said. “So we felt — of course, Taylor is in America, she’s not here — but we’re here, so we have to do the best we can do. So, I don’t want to let you think that we don’t care about Swifties in our band.”
