The scene is cut with footage from Simone’s graduation, where she smiles as she walks through the crowd towards her parents.
“So Simone went to school for fashion merchandising and design,” Sherrod explains.
As he reflects on his daughter’s milestone, Jackson says he can’t believe where the time has gone.
“You know, they’re small. And then, they’re graduating,” the proud dad says. “Like where does the time go?”
“Cause she already has a job. Fresh out of college, full-time job, which is a huge accomplishment," Sherrod raves. “We were the loudest people in the entire graduation.”
In a sweet clip, Sherrod can be heard asking her daughter for a big smile.
“In that moment, you watch her walk across the stage and you’re thinking, ‘Not only did she do it, we did it as a unit,’ ” Jackson says in a confessional.
“Yeah, got her through,” she adds, with her husband agreeing.
In a previous episode ofMarried to Real Estate, Sherrod opened up about her relationship with Simone, revealing that the two are very close.
In an episode of her reality series last year, Sherrod admitted that as she watches her kids grow, it feels likeit’s “all moving way too fast.”
“We can’t show any sign of being sad, no side of anything but happy faces because this is a big benchmark for her. Mommy’s just struggling on the inside,” she said of daughter Harper’s first day of school.
