T.D. Jakes, a renowned Christian pastor and motivational speaker, experienced a “slight health incident” after delivering a sermon this weekend.

“During today’s service, Bishop T.D. Jakes experienced a slight health incident and received immediate medical attention following his powerful hour-long message,” the church wrote in a statement. “Bishop Jakes is stable and under the care of medical professionals.”

“The entire Potter’s House family is grateful for the outpouring of love, prayers, and support from the community. Thank you for your understanding and continued prayers,” the statement concluded.

While speaking onstage, Jakes could be seen sitting on a chair and wiping his head with a cloth, before telling his audience that preaching is “getting back more than you gave.”

Moments later, after sharing a few more words, Jakes lowered his microphone and looked downward before seemingly convulsing. Several people onstage then crowded around the motivational speaker to assist him, before the livestream apparently cut out.

Jakes founded the non-denominational, multicultural church back in 1996, per itswebsite. It has 30,000 members — operating as a non-profit organization with a principal campus in southern Dallas.
