Mila De Jesus' Husband Shares Heartfelt Message After the Weight Loss Influencer's Funeral: 'The Death Clothes Are Off'

Mila De Jesus’ husband, George Kowszik, is sharing a heartfelt message about his late wife just days after her funeral.

On Wednesday, the 61-year-old posted onFacebookthanking friends and family for the support following his loss. De Jesus, a weight loss influencer, died on Jan. 12 at age 35. A memorial service was held for her on Jan. 19 in Worcester, Massachusetts.

“The death clothes are off and the sun of god’s light path is before me now,” Kowszik wrote. “My wife had incredible all day VIBES, she had a wonderful creative personality and a great FLAVOR FOR LIFE. She loved her children with passion and fun loving memories, which I George got to enjoy and experience this and much more.”

“So now I want to say thank you Good friends and family members for all the prayers, support and encouragement for all of us,” he continued. “Dying is like a box of chocolates. You never know what you will get, someone once said. I love you all…..So let us remember the graciousness of God’s beauty in our lives together.”

Last week, De Jesus’ daughter Anna Clara confirmed that the fitness influencer had died, sharing a message on her mother’sInstagrampage.

“It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Mila de Jesus this Friday,” the post read alongside a black and white photo of De Jesus. “In this moment of pain, respect family and friends and we will express our respect to Mila who will miss her a lot.”

In the caption, Anna Clara added, “We are very sad to hear of the passing of our beautiful mother. We appreciate all the prayers and condolences. Continue to pray for us Thank you ❤️.”

“I lost my beautiful wife and my best friend yesterday that I love so much,” hewroteat the time.

“My wife loved me and believed in me through God which impacted my life and hers together," he continued. “I will never ever forget what God has blessed me and my beautiful [wife] and her very wonderful children. I’m sorry I can’t talk right now.. crying too much. forgive me.”

De Jesus — who was born in Brazil and lived in Millbury, Massachusetts — rose to fame online after undergoing bariatric surgery in October 2017 and sharing her weight loss journey with her 59,000 Instagram followers. De Jesus was also known for her popular makeup tutorials for her 103,000YouTubesubscribers.
