Natalia Bryant Says Mamba Mindset Motivates Her After Dad Kobe's Death: 'The Job's Never Done'

Natalia Bryantis embracingKobe Bryant’s “mamba mentality."

In an interview for the February cover ofTown & Country, the 21-year-old shares how her late father has continued to impact her life, nearly four years after his death.

“In terms of legacy, my main goal is just to be the best version of me that I possibly can,” Natalia told the magazine, saying that there’s an “understanding that there’s no expectation that I should have for each stage of life.”

She added, “I just need to know that I have to keep learning, because there’s no finish line. You just have to keep pushing and being the best person you can be and soaking everything up like a sponge… The job’s never done.”

Natalia, who is currently pursuing her own interests as a USC film student and fashion model, has been outspoken in the past about how her family has chosen to move forward.

And it’s a visual reminder that the eldest Bryant child said she welcomes.

“I love seeing the murals,” Natalia toldTown & Country. “Whenever I see them when I’m driving around, I’m like, ‘Oh, okay.’ They feel like special gems.”

Natalia has previously opened up about her optimistic perspective in light of the grief, as the four-year anniversary of her father’s and her sister’s death draws near.

“It’s putting your best foot forward at all times regardless of all the noise,” Natalia toldEllemagazine in October.

“I want to make sure that mentality stays intact, because it can be so easy to give up on yourself when things get tough,” she added. “You have to remind yourself that with positivity and resilience you can do anything.”

In September, Natalia threw out the first pitch during the Los Angeles Dodgers annual “Lakers Night.”

Wearing a Dodgers jersey with her one of her dad’s jersey numbers (No. 8) embroidered on it, Natalia tossed the baseball to right fielder Mookie Betts, who was sporting Kobe’s iconic No. 24 Lakers jersey.

Ahead of the game, where Kobe and Gianna were honored, the Dodgers organization presented a $100,000 check to the family’s nonprofit Mamba and Mambacita Sports Foundation.
