“I’m like a wild animal every time I talk to you, and I can barely stand myself no matter what I do,” she sings on the first verse. “I’m ready for a page turn, I want to wipe the slate clean, I’ll pay you just a little if you will set me free.”

On the track’s chorus, Volkman continues, “It’s such an empty feeling to think that I’m the reason that you are always leaving me in a broken home.”

“I’ll pay you $5. You think that’s what I’m worth,” she adds on the refrain. “I’ll pay you $5 just to let me go.”
