There’s more than one way to relax when you’re not singing to a live audience night after night.

Spamalotactor Nik Walker, who’s currently starring as Sir Galahad in the Monty Python musical eight times a week on Broadway, says when he’s between projects he loves to relax at a good old American theme park — and he even brings his bestie with him.

“Taran Killam, who plays Lancelot in the show, he’s my theme park brother,” Walker, 34, says. “We did theStar Wars: Galactic Starcruiserhotel together before it closed. It was a spectacular experience. And we’re going toEpic Universewhen it opens [in 2025],” he says of Universal Orlando’s planned fourth park. “We’reveryexcited to do that one!”

Walker says that he’s such a park diehard that he’s quietly become the go-to vacation planner for his Broadway pals.

“Literally there was a moment when I was just planning theme park vacations for all the Broadway people,” he says with a laugh. “I wasn’t taking any money for it. I just loved it so much.”

He even got his wife Sarah Joyce in on the action.

Walker says his love of parks may stems from all the serious roles he’s played on Broadway. ‘I’ve made my career playing dark, brooding people," says Walker, who will next star alongside Matt Damon in the upcoming movieThe Instigators.

“I go to Disney World and Universal Studios maybe three times a year. I have a trunk of Nerf guns in my dressing room, I’m literally staring at a Darth Star poster right now. So the the idea that I’m a grown child who can somehow pay his bills has been with me for a long time,” he says.

He adds that’s why he loves being in such a fun, upbeat show likeSpamalot. “Doing this, where I can just kind of show up to play, is so freeing. The stakes are off in a way because it’s just like, yeah, just go up there and literally be a kid!”

As for the attention his co-starEthan Slaterhas gotten for his new romance withAriana Grande?

“Whatever gets people to the theater!” he jokes. “The beauty of our show is once we start, the audience is with us the whole way until the end.
