On Wednesday, Oct. 2, the actress, 44, shared a snap of herself cuddling her daughter Méi alongside a lengthy caption to honor breast cancer awareness.
Munn, who shares her daughter and sonMalcolm Hiệp Mulaney, 2, with husbandJohn Mulaney, 42, added, “Breast Cancer Awareness Month just started. Last year I was diagnosed with bilateral Luminal B breast cancer.”

“There were many people integral to saving my life but it was my OB-GYN@drthaisaliabadiwho set me on the path to survival,” she continued. “She used the Tyrer-Cuzick Risk Assessment Test to calculate my risk of getting breast cancer. My high score led me down a road of many tests that resulted in a cancer diagnosis.”
Munn added, “The test is free, online and takes only a few minutes. To take it you can either google ‘Tyrer-Cuzick Test’ or you can go to Dr. Aliabadi’s website SheMD.org (@shemdpodcast) and also get action items on what to do depending on your percentage of risk.”

“Méi June Mulaney came into the world September 14, 2024, the year of the dragon🐉," the mother of two wrote in herInstagrampost alongside a photo of herself sitting on her husband’s lap as she held their daughter in a hospital room.

The carousel also featured a closeup shot of Méi before the newborn was snapped in her mother’s arms as Munn sat on a couch in front of a view of the sky.
“I am so proud of my little plum, my little dragon for making the journey to be with us. My heart has exploded,” the proud mom continued. “Méi (pronounced may) means plum in Chinese 梅💜.”
