Jessie James Decker’s newest addition wasn’t exactly part of her five-year plan.

“I was telling my sister this, I’m like, we all know that I felt finished, but there was this little voice in the back of my head that kept saying that we’re missing somebody,” Jessie tells PEOPLE. “And I think that’s why Eric and I probably never officially closed that chapter because I think we just kind of knew.”

“It was a huge surprise, a huge shock,” she tells PEOPLE. “Not to get too personal, I’m very on top of when and how things are going, and somehow I missed this one.”

As they prepare to welcome their little guy, the soon-to-be mom of four says she and Eric already have a name picked out.

“They just came at the perfect time and made it so easy for me.”
