Reba McEntire Rocks Her National Anthem Performance at Super Bowl 2024 in Glitter and Fringe

Reba McEntirekicked off the2024 Super Bowlon Sunday with her show-stopping voice — and an equally impressive outfit.

Stepping onto the field in a tan blazer, black shirt beaded fringe jeans and a giant belt buckle, the country legend, 68,delivered a moving rendition of the national anthem.

As she sang for the stadium, McEntire’s outfit glittered for everyone to see.

Earlier in the day, McEntire rocked a blue furry coat, jeans and blue cowboy boots for amonochromatic look, but she swapped it all out before hitting the field.

With the announcement, McEntire released a press statement expressing how “honored” she was to partake in the Super Bowl in Las Vegas. “2024 marks 50 years since I was discovered singing the National Anthem at the National Finals Rodeo,” she continued in the statement. “I can’t think of a better way to celebrate that anniversary.”

Continuing her run of good news, on Jan. 29, NBCUniversalconfirmed that McEntire will return to televisionfor a sitcom series, 17 years after her hit self-titled sitcom.

The logline of the proposed pilot reads, “Reba inherits her father’s restaurant and is less than thrilled to discover that she has a new business partner in the half-sister she never knew she had.”

Since her Emmy-nominated sitcom ended after six seasons, McEntire has played leading roles on the ABC sitcomMalibu Skyand crime dramaBig Sky. She is currently a celebrity coach on NBC’s singing competition showThe Voiceand will appear alongsideJohn Legend,Dan + ShayandChance the Rapperin the upcoming 25th season.

The Kansas City Chiefs and the San Francisco 49ers will face off in Super Bowl LVIII, airing on CBS on Feb. 11 at 6:30 p.m. ET.
