Three days after news of the couple’s split became public,TheReal Housewives of Atlantastar, 42, shared a message to her fans on Instagram, writing, “Thank you for your prayers & support. -PW.”
News of their split came asrumors surfaced online about Guobadia’s citizen status. However, a source previously told PEOPLE the divorce is “unrelated to recent allegations involving Simon’s past.”
The cause of their split is an “ongoing matter,” added the insider.
Five days before the filing, Williamsmade no indicationthat a split was on the horizon while sharing footage from their recent vacation to Dubai together onInstagram.
In the footage on a jet ski styled to look like a luxury sports car, the pair appeared to be enjoying themselves as they kissed at one point and smiled throughout. “My ride or die 🤌🏾🔥,” Williams wrote, adding, “(And yes he thought he was gone die today 😂) #BeHisPeace ❤️🌹 @iamsimonguobadia”
Guobadia also posted the same video onInstagram: “Living our lives, unapologetically .#livingourbestlife #blacklove #bestfriendsforever.”
“Yes we are crazy in love,” Williams captioned a selfie with Guobadia. “I know it’s fast but we are living life each day to its fullest. I choose happiness every morning and every night.”

Earlier this month, the reality star-turned-entrepreneur — who’smom to 4-year-old daughter Pilar, whom she had through a previous relationship — announced she is set toreturn toThe Real Housewives of Atlantafor its upcoming 16th season after two years away from the Bravo series. She also signed an overall scripted deal with NBCUniversal on “scripted project opportunities across the company’s broadcast and streaming properties.”
