Selena Gomezdidn’t need a wind machine to create herreal-life Marilyn Monroe momenton Sunday’s 2024Golden Globesred carpet — she had nature on her side.
The design was impressive all on its own thanks to its asymmetrical hemline and black accents including cutouts down the front that were accented with rosettes, along with a black lining that peeked out underneath the skirt, but the uncharacteristically windy weather in Los Angeles added a whole new level of drama to the multi-hyphenate’s vibrant look.

Gomez wasn’t the only Hollywood star who had a windswept moment at the Globes. From Heidi Klum to Jennifer Aniston, the windy weather worked its magic on several celebs who wore particularly flowy looks to the ceremony.

Pugh, who was nominated for her role infive-time Golden Globe-winnerOppenheimer, arrived at the Golden Globes ina show-stopping sheer, red Valentino gownwith floral accents dotted throughout. Add in her impressive platinum faux hawk, and theA Good Personactress was already looking full glam, then the wind came along to add a little extra drama.
In one photo from the evening, Pugh kept her expression neutral as the wind caught the train of her Valentino gown creating the illusion that she was walking toward a wind machine as she walked down the red carpet.

1923breakout star Nieves had a standout moment on the red carpet, as well. The up-and-coming actress wore a striped lavender gown with a long, gossamer train that L.A.’s weather conditions made all the more impressive as the breeze caught the sheer fabric and made it fan out to her side as she stopped for pics.
