Sister Wives' Janelle Brown Marks First Easter After Son Garrison's Death: 'Even More Grateful for My Faith'

TheSister Wivesstar, 54, shared apost on InstagramSunday, in which she detailed that she and her family members spent the annual springtime holiday on the beach.

“Happy Easter everyone! I have been even more grateful for my faith this year. The remembrance of the Savior and His gift of eternal life,” Janelle began the caption of her post.

“We opted for the NC beach today. We were able to stream the service from Maddie’s church at home as we just didn’t feel like fighting the crowd,” she continued. “The weather was beautiful and the kites flew easily.”

Over on her own Instagram account,Meri Brownmarked Easter with aphotograph of her dogfrom a festive photoshoot. “Zona and I wish you all a Happy Easter! Hope your day is beautiful!” she wrote.

The son of Janelle andKody Browndiedon Mar. 5 in his Flagstaff, Arizona, home at age 25.

At the time, Lieutenant Charles M. Hernandez II of the Flagstaff Police Department confirmed to PEOPLE that officers responded to a “report of a death inside a home,” and that Garrison’s brotherGabriel"discovered Mr. Brown deceased" in an apparent suicide.

Janelle and Kody, 55, later confirmed the news in a joint statement onInstagram, noting how they were “deeply saddened to announce the loss of our beautiful boy Robert Garrison Brown.”

“He was a bright spot in the lives of all who knew him,” they continued. “His loss will leave such a big hole in our lives that it takes our breath away. We ask that you please respect our privacy and join us in honoring his memory.”
