A curious huskyin Kentucky got into a strange situation over the weekend, resulting in an odd rescue to save the pooch!

On Sunday,Lexington-Fayette Animal Care & Controlrevealed that they “received several calls regarding a husky that was trapped inside a sewer drain” that morning. The facility shared video footage showing a couple of their team members stepping in to get the canine out.

In the clip, two women are with the dog, who is only able to peek his head partially out of the storm drain.

One of the ladies is lying on her belly, trying to comfort the pooch, as her co-worker who is filming looks for a way to get him out. Both are patient, extending their hands for him to sniff and gain his trust, as they talk to him in soft, child-like voices.

“The husky, named Sebastian, had always wanted to meet theTeenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, but instead, found himself face to face with a couple of Animal Control Officers!” the organization continued in theirFacebookpost.

The video then cuts to Sebastian out of the sewer, being happily petted inside the facility as he wagged his tail.

“The spunky Sebastian is now safe and sound at our facility and is eagerly waiting to be reunited with his owners! We love happy endings!” the post added.

As of Tuesday, the sweet rescue clip has been viewed 42,000 times.

Lt. Jai Hamilton, who was one of the Animal Care and Control officers to rescue Sebastian on Allen Drive, told theLexington Herald-Leaderthe dog was being “very vocal. He obviously needed and wanted help.”

The officer added that it was “a pretty easy save” once they were able to use a crowbar to pry the lid off of the sewer.

“He was super happy, and made a lot of noise,” Hamilton said. “He is just absolutely adorable.”

While officers aren’t quite sure how Sebastian managed to get logged in the slim sewer opening, they believe he may have been chasing a smaller animal before becoming stuck. Nevertheless, they are happy that the dog is okay.

“This was a really fun call for us because our job can be very sad,” Hamilton told theHerald-Leader. “We love helping animals and we are always out and about in the community, and any time we can help an animal, we do everything we can.”
