Suspect in New York Hotel Death Arrested After Alleged Crime Spree in Arizona

Days after a homicide in a New York City hotel room, a suspect was arrested in Arizona related to another crime.

NYPD Chief of Detectives Joseph Kennysaid in a press conferenceon Tuesday that authorities have “probable cause” to arrest Raad Almansoori in relation to the “stabbing homicide” that took place “between 2:14 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 7 and 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, Feb. 8” at the Soho 54 Hotel in Manhattan.

“A broken iron was recovered at the scene, and we recovered bits of plastic that were found embedded inside of her skull,” Kenny said.

On Sunday, Almansoori, 26, was arrested in Arizona while driving a stolen car and informed law enforcement “that he is wanted for homicide in New York City.”

Kenny said that the suspect told the cops that they should “Google Soho 54 hotel,” which is where Oleas-Arancibia was found dead in her room earlier this month.

Prior to his arrest, police said that Almansoori “committed a knife-point carjacking in Phoenix, Arizona, where he stabbed his female victim,” and escaped the scene.

He has an “extensive out of state arrest history,” Kenny said, and was previously arrested in Florida and Texas.

While in custody in Arizona, Almansoori told authorities “he hurt three additional girls in Florida,” Kenny said in the press conference.
