Taraji P. Henson’s daring2024 Critics Choice Awardsred carpet look deserves its own award.
The Color Purplestar joined her castmates on the red carpet, where she wore a jaw-dropping strapless white gown that hugged her curves. It featured a thigh-high slit and dramatic train that pooled behind her on the carpet. She wore her hair in a chic bob and accessorized with lab-grown diamonds from Pandora.

For her part, executive producerOprah Winfreyhas been wearingvarious shades of purpleas she promoted the musical. Meanwhile, the rest of the cast, including Henson, have mixed things up with a variety of outfits in a full range of colors.

Atthe movie’s Los Angeles premierein early December, Henson wore a show-stopping black gown with sheer panels at the waist and oversize white detailing starting at her shoulders and wrapping around her neck and hips. The gown also featured a plunging neckline. which she accentuated with a silver snake necklace.

On Dec. 27, Henson shareda behind-the-scenes clipof her vocal training for the role of Shug on Instagram. TheEmpirealum used her post to thank her voice coach, Stevie Mackey, for helping her prepare for the role.
