Upon hitting the stage to accept his award, White thanked his colleagues on the FX series.
“I love you guys so much,” he said after listing their names. “I must have done something right in this life to be in your company. Thank you guys. Thank you so much!”
The actor also gave a special shoutout to his two daughters, Ezer and Dolores, whom he shares with ex-wifeAddison Timlin. “Wrap it up, okay. Ezer and Dolores, you are my heart. I love you. I love you. I love you,” he continued.
“Thank you. Thank you so much,” he added of winning. “I feel so lucky I get to do this. Thank you guys.”

Hulu’sThe Bearfollows White’s character Carmen “Carmy” Berzatto, a classically trained chef and star in the fine dining world, as he takes over his family’s iconic sandwich shop in the wake of his brother’s death and attempts to turn it into a fine dining establishment.
The actor recently spoke to PEOPLE aboutthe online obsession with hisonscreencharacter. “What do I say to the internet?“The Bearstar asked before responding, “Thanks for watching. I don’t know, I’m flattered. It surprises me, truly. But I’ll take it! I’ll take what I can get!”
White’s fellow nominees also put up impressive performances this year, includingBarry’s Hader.

Hader was honored with his Golden Globes nomination for his performance inBarry’s fourth and final season.
In April, theSaturday Night Livealum toldPEOPLE in 10that having dealt with sporadic, acute fits of anxiety in his own life helped shape his performance in the HBO dark comedy.
“There’s definitely been moments in the show where the character has gotten panicked and got a panic attack, and I definitely felt that before,” Hader shared at the time. “When I was onSaturday Night LiveI would get panic attacks pretty frequently. You know Barry has a panic attack and you go, ‘I know exactly what that feels like.'”
Only Murders in the Buildingis also nominated for best television series, comedy or musical. The hit Hulu series follows three strangersSelena Gomez, Martin and Short who share an obsession with true crime and wind up creating a podcast investigating murders in their own apartment building.
While speaking toThe Hollywood Reporterin August 2022, Martin shared he had no plans to pursue another acting project when the Hulu series eventually comes to an end.

“When this television show is done, I’m not going to seek others,” Martin confessed at the time. “I’m not going to seek other movies. I don’t want to do cameos. This is, weirdly, it.”
Short, who’s titillated fans with his performance onOnly Murders in the Buildingsin his own right, toldE! Newshe couldn’t picture his friend stepping away from his Hollywood career.
“I can’t imagine him ever retiring. I hope not, because then you know what happens to me,” Short quipped with a hilarious finger-across-the-neck gesture.
“It was just trying to think of this idea that I think is kind of universal, beyond just losing a loved one,” he explained at the time. “We filmed right after the pandemic. Everything was so weird. Culturally, we couldn’t quite name it, but we all had this sense that something was taken from us that we’ll never get back.”

“I think that we’ve set the table for all sorts of folks … to get to watch the further telling of these stories,” he added.
