Tia Mowry Says She Hopes to 'Find My Prince Harry' as She Embarks on First Blind Date Post-Divorce (Exclusive)

In PEOPLE’s exclusive first look at the upcoming episode ofTia Mowry: My Next Act, the actress, 46, plunges back into the dating pool when she embarks on a blind date. When Tia asks her date why he’s still single, he tells her, “Dream girls are rare, you’re the dream girl.”

As theSister, Sisteralum stared lovingly into his eyes, she can’t help but confess the date went off without a hitch.

“The date went really good,” she says, smiling in a conversation with cameras. “I mean, listen,Meghan MarkleandPrince Harry, didn’t they go on a blind date? Who knows? I might find my Prince Harry!”

Whether or not the date goes anywhere, Tia says she’s happy she took the first step in finding love again.

“I will say, if he doesn’t call me for a second date, which I am open to, so be it. I’m proud of myself for at least being open enough to go on a blind date,” she says.

Tia’s journey out into the dating world comes after she and her ex-husbandCory Hardrict divorcedafter 15 years of marriage in 2023. The former couple sharedaughter Cairo, 6, and son Cree, 13.

In the premiere episode ofTia Mowry: My Next Act, the actress confessed that the thought of dating again intimidating to her as her ex-husband had been her “first everything.”

“I wasn’t even allowed to date until I was 18 years old,” she explained in a confessional interview. “I met Cory when I turned 20 and I lost my virginity at 25. There, I said it! And then we got married! Boom!”

Sharing how scary it was for her to leave her marriage, Tia also admitted she had grown frustrated with having to put on a front in public that was so different than the reality behind closed doors.

“I got tired of showing up at events and people thinking that everything was perfect and it wasn’t,” she said. “I’d go home and feel alone.”

“My persona as a celebrity is kinda the girl next door — the white picket fence — and what I didn’t show was what was really going on in my marriage,” she added. “Maybe I was trying to live a fantasy.”
