“Beau is my greatest teacher on this journey. Everyday I am surprised and impressed … things that those that understand me know are hard to do,” she wrote.

McDermott, 57, also posted for Beau, sharing a few recent photos of his little guy. “I can’t believe this guy just turned 7!!!! My little Prince is becoming a King!! Happy Birthday Bo Bo Bear!!🎂,” the proud dad wrote in his caption.

Spelling shares kids Beau,Finn, 11,Hattie, 12, andStella, 15, and Liam, 16 with her ex McDermott.

In June, McDermott announced in a since-deleted Instagram post that he and Spelling haddecided to separateafter 18 years of marriage. The actor opened up in a November interview withThe Daily Mailabout what drove them apart.

“I just isolated more and more and more and she isolated with the kids. We were roommates,” the actor said.

“Rarely, rarely, rarely did we eat together. We’d sit down and have a family meal but it was always disjointed,” he added. “It made me feel worse because I knew I was a big part of [the problem] and I was at a place where I felt there was nothing I could do about it.”
