Usher Serenades Janelle Monáe at Las Vegas Concert with Champagne and Dancing: 'We Bl(ush)ed in Vegas'

The stars showed off some steamy chemistry Wednesday night when Usher serenaded the actress and singer while performing at hisLas Vegas residency.

“we bl(ush)ed in vegas💋 🖤 thank you @usher🖤1 of 1. incredible show,” she wrote.

In the videos, Monáe sits in the audience and leans against a railing as Usher sings “Superstar." After asking permission for a dance, Monáe obliges and the two slow-dance together.

“I promise you, that was a moment to remember,” he tells her, and the two exchange flirty banter while making intense eye contact.

At one point, Usher, 45, gives theGlass Onionactress a twirl and they dance up close and personal before she sits back against the railing. “You’re so sassy,” he says.

Though Usher has been known to serenade stars at his residency shows (bothKeke PalmerandIssa Raehave been on the receiving end of similar treatment in recent months), fans on Instagram were quick to shout out his sizzling chemistry with Monáe.

“🫣 Should we be watching?? This look like grown folks business 👀,” one user joked, while another commented that they’d “never blushed so hard 😍😍.”

Monáe later shared a slew of Instagram Stories that showed them enjoying the rest of the show from her seat, singling along with friends to Usher hits like “U Got It Bad,” “Burn” and “Yeah!”

Despite the onstage steam, Usher is smitten with longtime girlfriendJennifer Goicoechea, a record executive to whom he’s been linked since 2019.

“I have an amazing partner, a support system,” hetold PEOPLE earlier this month. “We have an amazing dynamic between our relationship where I’m able to be passionate still about what I do and have an incredible partner to work through some of the harder times as a young man dealing with children and dealing with the dynamic of how you communicate with them.”

“I’m very happy, very fortunate to have an incredible friend, not just a partner,” he said. “She’s my best friend and I love her.”

Usher kicked off his Las Vegas residency in July, and explained toGQearlier this year that he’d planned his showwith the ladies in mind.

“I really wanted to give women something to look forward to, something to come here to Las Vegas with their friends for,” he said. “They’ve been saving up all year and were able to manage to get away from their kids or get away from their problems.”
