Police said “there are no signs of foul play” in connection with his disappearance, and believe there is no threat to the UT-Dallas campus.

Ai Ping Zhou, Li’s mother, said she last spoke with her son on Feb. 22, according toABC affiliate WFAA. The Houston woman tried contacting him on Saturday, but claimed the college sophomore did not respond or open her messages.

Friends did not find Li in his room when asked them to check on him, Zhou said.
