As Samuel racked up records on the field, Jones worked as an entrepreneur with her own clothing company called Shades of Mahogany. Now, she’s a model and influencer, sharing snippets of her life with her nearly 275,000 followers onInstagram.

Two years after Jones and Samuel began dating, they welcomed their son, Tyshun Raequan Samuel Jr., in 2021. Jones regularly posts about her relationship with Samuel and their son on TikTok; in December 2023, the entrepreneur shared avideochronicling one of her and the football player’s date nights, showing off a sweet message from Samuel.

“Mahogany, you are my happy place. I love you so much,” he wrote in a card.

Ahead of the 2024 Super Bowl, which ultimately saw the 49erslose to the Kansas City Chiefs, Jones shared a sneak peek of her and her son getting ready to root for Samuel. She posted a picture outside a media tent and a video of her and Tyshun snacking two days before the big game on her Instagram Story.

So who is Deebo Samuel’s girlfriend? Here’s everything to know about Mahogany Jones and her relationship with the NFL star.

She owned a clothing company

After graduating from North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University, Jones began posting photos of her modeling clothing from her brandShades of Mahogany.

The company sold a variety of items, including swimwear and loungewear. Though the brand no longer appears to be active — their Instagram account was last updated in 2021 — Jones maintains an interest in fashion, regularly showing off her outfits to her followers on her own profile.

She and Samuel have a son together

The wide receiver announced Tyshun’s birth with a series of Instagram snaps from the hospital. “I Got You Forever🤞🏾💙,” Samuelwrote in the caption.

Samuel spoke withUSA Todayin November 2022 about how becoming a father had changed him.

“I definitely have more patience now than I’ve ever had before. But, you know, my son comes first before anything else,” he said. “My top priority is to ensure that he has a better life than I did growing up and just make sure he has not another worry on this earth. So that’s why I go out there every day, practice, games, just giving my all to make sure he’s fine.”

Samuel’s excitement over having a child helped calm Jones’ nerves

In an interview for Overtime SZN’sThe Deebo Samuel Documentaryin 2022, Jones said that Samuel’s joy over becoming a father helped her feel more prepared for Tyshun’s arrival.

“When I found out I was pregnant I was nervous. I was scared, but he was so excited,” she explained. “He said ‘I want him to be my little Deebo. He needs to be just like me. I can’t wait to dress him. We gonna dress like twins.’ ”

Samuel also spoke in the documentary about his own experience of getting used to being a father and raising a child with Jones.

She regularly attends Samuel’s games — and brings Tyshun along

On Dec. 3, 2023, Samuel had the first three-touchdown game of his career, and Jones was there to document her experience watching her boyfriend hit the milestone.

The mom-of-one posted a video on TikTok showing her gameday emotions from watching Samuel warm up to the two of them leaving together. “3 touchdowns is crazyyyyy 😭❤️💛 #49ers #49ersvseagles #nflfootball #nflgirlfriend,” Joneswrote in the caption.

Jones and Samuel often post pictures of Tyshun at his dad’s games, too. In October 2023, Jonesshared a photo on Instagramof Tyshun at a game with the caption, “NBF 🖤,” which Samuel has said stands for “Nothing But Family.”

The NFL star feels that Tyshun is his good luck charm, which Jones spoke about inThe Deebo Samuel Documentary.

“Deebo says he wants him at every game. That’s going to be his good luck charm … so he feels like this year is going to be insane,” she said. “Like y’all are made for each other and when [Tyshun] sees Deebo … he don’t want to go to anybody else when Deebo gets around.”

Jones was shocked at Samuel’s contract offer

After a few years playing for the 49ers, including aSuper Bowl appearance in 2020, Samuel was offered a three-year contract extension in 2022.The reported $73.5 million offer— with $58.1 million guaranteed — left Jones in awe of her boyfriend, which she spoke about inThe Deebo Samuel Documentary.

“When he told me the offer, I’m like ‘You lying. No, you’re lying,’ and he was like, ‘No, I’m serious,’ and I’m like ‘I can’t believe it,' ” she recalled. “I said, ‘We knew this day was coming,’ but to actually see it … we just both sat back and was like, ‘Wow.’ "

They like to spend time with Samuel’s family

Part of Samuel’s success as a football player is due to his competitive nature, and it turns out that this aspect of his personality bleeds into his personal life, too. InThe Deebo Samuel Documentary, Jones shared that she loves playing cards with Samuel’s family, but she also revealed that her boyfriend can get overly competitive.

“We always playing card games … we take every game so serious,” Jones said. “Deebo hates to lose. Like, if he loses a football game, we all agree not to talk to him … [because] he’s going to be in a bad mood so even with card games he wants to win everything.”

Samuel shared that he’s so confident in his ability that he believes people must be cheating if they’re beating him. Jones reiterated that it’s all in good fun and she enjoys the banter with her boyfriend and his family.

“I love all of them. They feel like home,” she said.
