Don McLeanandParis Dylanhave raised eyebrows among fans afterconfirming their relationshipin 2018, despite their 48-year age gap.

The modelfirst posted a photoon Instagram with the “American Pie” singer-songwriter on social media shortly before Thanksgiving on Nov. 24, 2016. The pair were thenromantically linkedin March 2018 when they were spotted out and about in the U.K. together during McLean’s world tour.

However, it wasn’t until Dylan posted a birthday tribute to McLean on Oct. 2, 2018, that the couple becameInstagram official.

Chartier was arrested and pled guilty in 2015 to seven counts of fraud and other crimes and sentenced to 18 months in prison. Upon Chartier’s release, Dylan appeared onCatfishagain out of fear that Chartier would continue her fraudulent antics.

She has the travel bug

“My girlfriend and I love to travel,” McLean toldPEOPLE.

Dylan and McLean traveled in Europe together during McLean’s spring tour.

She posted pictures fromthe Eiffel Tower,the LouvreandVersaillesfrom their trip to France. She also made stops inNorway,Finland,Belgium,the NetherlandsandGermany.

She previously jetted to Israel and said she"would love to go back."

She is a music fan

Dating a music icon has introduced Dylan to some new tunes, as she’s revealed on Instagram.

“Appreciation post: I’ve always known about the Kingston Trio but I never truly appreciated their music,” shewrotein October 2018. “Don listens to them a lot and I slowly started really understanding their beauty. These guys are AMAZING! I love Nick Reynolds.. my favorite songs include One More Town and Bimini. I love you Kingston Trio.”

She has also expressed her love ofThe Zombiesand has metEd Sheeran,Van MorrisonandRoger Daltrey.

Her sister is a race car driver

Dylan’s sister, Courtney Crone, won the FormulaSPEED 2.0 class in the Formula Car Challenge Series in 2018. According toCrone’s website, she also wants to compete in the IndyCar Series.

“She never ceases to amaze me in EVERY WAY,” Dylanwroteon Instagram.

She was a passionate dog mom

Dylan often shared cute snapshots of her chihuahua,Tiki, on social media. However, her dog died in April 2022. Three months later, she was still mourning the loss. “I don’t know how I’ve even lasted these 3 months,” shewroteon Instagram. “Thank god for Don and my family, or I honestly don’t think I’d of been able to.”

McLean is smitten with her

Despite their age difference, McLean has made it clear that their relationship is no mere fling.

“You have to love somebody,” he toldPEOPLE. “Hate is such a burden. It’s a complete waste of time. I love my children and I love my girlfriend. I’m crazy for her.”

He added, “She is the most wonderful person that I have ever known. I think of her when I sing a lot of my songs. But I especially think of her when I sing that song,” referring to his acclaimed single “And I Love You So,” which shot to popularity afterElvis Presleycovered it.

He credited Dylan for helping him get through low points in his life. “When I have had bad times in my life, I always loved my guitar. And now, I have Paris,” he said.

She’s never publicly spoken about McLean’s domestic violence charge

McLean was arrested at his Maine home in 2016 on domestic violence charges from an incident involving his then-wife Patrisha Shnier. He subsequentlypleaded guiltyto misdemeanor counts of domestic violence assault, domestic violence criminal threatening, criminal mischief, and criminal restraint. These charges were dismissed in July 2017 as part of a deferred disposition.

In 2019, a student group at UCLAawarded and then immediately rescindedthe George and Ira Gershwin Award for Lifetime Musical Achievement due to the domestic violence conviction.

She supports McLean’s career achievements

Dylan was on hand to support McLean when he received his star on theHollywood Walk of Famein 2021.
