FKA twigsand her boyfriend, Jordan Hemingway, are a picture-perfect pair.

The“Killer”singer (born Tahliah Debrett Barnett)revealed her relationshipwith the London-based photographer in a since-deleted March 2023 Instagram post. Since then, the couple have kept their relationship largely private.

Before she began dating Hemingway, twigs had a public breakup withShia LaBeouf. Their split led to themusician suing the actoralleging “relentless abuse” in December 2020. LaBeoufdenied “each and every allegation"in a February 2021 response to her suit.

A little over three years after her lawsuit, twigs shared in her Instagram reveal that Hemingway had “restored my faith in love.”

“You know it justtakes the right person,” she said a year later in an April 2024 interview withBritish Vogue. “I’ve kissed a few frogs to get there but I feel that Jordan listens to me and opens me up in a way that no one really has ever been able to.”

Hemingway, for his part, has had a successful career of his own, working in photography since he was 15 after watching Terry Gilliam’s 1985 dark comedyBrazil, he told032cmagazinein May 2024. He has since worked with stars like producer Gesaffelstein andDua Lipa.

Hemingway was born and raised a stone’s throne away from the Big Apple in New Jersey. In a May 2024 interview, he told032c magazinehe “grew up in a little sleepy farm town” near Princeton, N.J., where there was “nothing to do, except take drugs or play sports.”

His early passion for skateboarding “saved” Hemingway, he said, and “got [him] out” of his small town. “We skateboarded every weekend in New York,” he added, which eventually led Hemingway to photography and cinematography.

Spending his summers in New York City, Hemingway “started printing for a photographer” when he was 15, he told032c. Once he graduated from high school, he “spent a few days” at the Savannah College of Art and Design before returning to the city after he was told he wasn’t allowed to work in the darkroom.

“Living [in New York] for seven years, at which time I did just about every job imaginable, was like this university of work that gave me a wide array of skills that I now rely on,” Hemingway said.

His father’s career as a jazz musician introduced the young creative to “the sense of community, togetherness and the freedom” of how it felt to create and “be together with other artists.”

“I love being on set more than anything,” Hemingway said. “Commercial, photoshoot, whatever it is, I’m there and I’m loving it. I can’t get enough.”

They confirmed their relationship in March 2023

After online speculation as to the identity of her boyfriend, twigs addressed the rumors head-on in a since-deleted March 2023 Instagram post.

“The whole of my career i’ve been hunted for who i am dating. so this time i’m pipping you to the post and taking control of the situation,” she captioned the post. “His name is @jordan_hemingway, a beautiful artist whose heart has restored my faith in love.”

She shared a series of photos with Hemingway, finishing out the caption writing, “Swipe for the hot pics. and now i’d like to go back to my nice private life with the dogs <3.”

She tries to keep her relationship with Hemingway private

Twigs went through a public breakup with herHoney Boycostar, LaBeouf, whom she accused of alleged sexual, physical and emotional abuse. She toldBritish Voguein April 2024 that she “had to be very compassionate with myself and really listen to myself to get better” after their split.

As a public figure, twigs prioritizes privacy in her relationship with Hemingway. Since revealing their relationship in March 2023, twigs has scarcely posted with Hemingway, tellingBritish Voguethat she understands that her status as an actor and musician can be “really not nice” for her partner.

“When I’m with somebody who’s not in the public eye in the way I am, I’m conscious of everything I can do to make that situation as comfortable as possible because I’ve been on the other side of it,” twigs said. “Right now I feel so ready to stand up for things that I believe in, to protect people who I love.”

They also attended the launch of the “The Wild Escape” campaign at London’s Natural History Museum in January 2023.
